On the 3008 there is a plug in the back of the camera. I think its for charging the camer but I've hooked up a power supply to it and ran the camera. Only thing is the polarity of the power adapter plug can be +/- or -/+. This means only either the camera motor will run or only the sound head will run. Havent fried out the camera doing this.
