My question is; How does someone find a Bolex in their basement? Wish I could.

Best thing is to determine the serial number, this will date the camera. Ones with a flat base are worth more in money and usability.

Don't run the camera at the higher speeds without film in the camera. It's best not to run it at all until you've found a manual.

Bolex cameras have prices all over the place. Higher priced ones are those that have been serviced by a professional camera tech. Ones that are fresh from a basement are iffy. They will need service before regular use. Check eBay for prices.
